Trump's Family Member Seeks Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts impressive online audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous prominent cheerleaders as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns numerous courses worldwide and regularly matches against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she stated.
Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa basically suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.
"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in only three events this year and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she can get advice from golf legend, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.
"And he's an even better individual. He told me to compete, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
She'll challenge several the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that her participation helps introduce golf to new audiences, specifically among youth audiences.
The social media influencer has substantial online presence and has started her own clothing and lifestyle company.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
