White House Condemns 'Democrat Hoax' as More Epstein Estate Images Made Public
Democratic lawmakers have published a new tranche of what they termed "disturbing" photographs from the property of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 images—a portion of which have been seen before—combined with another 70 released later on Friday represent a minuscule portion of the nearly 100,000 images released to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking offenses.
Prominent Personalities in the Images
Featured among the high-profile individuals visible in the initial batch are well-known figures such as film director Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump appears in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are redacted.
White House Response
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, charging Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the images for electoral motives and to "attempt to fabricate a false storyline."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative said, insisting that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by consistently demanding openness, making public thousands of pages of records, and urging additional probes into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Congressional Democrat Remarks
The photographs were disclosed without context, but according to a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the investigative panel, they raise more questions about Epstein's associations with the rich and powerful.
"The moment has come to stop this White House concealment and deliver justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he stated in a statement.
The disclosure of these materials comes as the oversight committee proceeding with its investigation into the Epstein case.
